Split the hours along the grain
A written weekly maximum follows the grain. Extra hours across it tear the week.
A froe does not force a cut across the grain. Hours work the same way.
- Write the extra hours you can keep when the day job is heavy.
- Count messages, quotes and payment chasing as hours.
- If a job would split across that line, move the date. Do not force it.
